He also served for two years as COMMON's Subject Matter Expert for the Business Intelligence/Database course of study and co-hosted the Business Intelligence table at COMMON's "Ask the Expert" event.

Training:
System i Developer Coaching

As a professional Instructor/Trainer, Greg has taught System i-specific subjects including RPG and CL programming, SQL, Sequel(TM), Work Management and Performance Tuning, Security, and Application and Database Design. 

Unlike traditional training companies, Greg Veal Consulting does not offer classroom style instruction.  Instead, if you have a development team that is short on experience, Greg will personally join your development team as a training coordinator and assume the role ofplayer/coach. 

What can you expect from this unique approach?

After an intial interview you to help him understand your training needs, Greg will:

• Recommend/select specific training courses from the many options available based on your needs and his assessment of the value of the courses. 
  (Greg can maintain objectivity because we have no affiliation with any vendors.)
  
• Coordinate/schedule developers and course materials 
  
• Answer developers' questions and assist when needed
  
• Facilitate group discussions:
  • Q&A sessions
  • Augment the course material with our own where appropriate
  • Work with the development team to develop standards
    
• Work on real projects one-on-one with developers or in small developer groups utilizing newly learned skills and "extreme development" techniques 

 
There is no teacher like experience.
